General Information
The Department of Economics is working at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy since the beginning of its revival. It used to provide training for Bachelor and Master academic degrees in Economic Theory which has been transformed into Economics starting from 2016.
The alumni of the Department have gained a high professional reputation both in Ukraine and abroad, which resulted in a growing of the demand for them at many prestigious companies, as well as in high entrance competitions among the strongest applicants. The educational process is carried out according to the approved educational and qualification standards appropriate for a specialist capable of performing professional work in the primary positions as

The peculiarity of the Department's programs is its orientation towards the Anglo-American model of university education, which includes the combination of learning with scientific activities and acquiring modern theoretical knowledge, that gives basis for the formation of multi-skilled creative analysts. The Department is actively integrating into European educational space, some disciplines are taught in English.
The Master Program of the Department is based on the modern European "sandwich" format, which makes it possible to harmonize the acquisition of the relevant qualification and the contemporary need for practice in the most effective way.
Our two-year Master Program offers such specializations:

- Economic Politics
- Consumer Behavior
The Program meets the modern standards of both Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and European higher education in the context of the Bologna Process.
The students of our programs have the right to combine the chosen specialization (major) with a wide range of elective courses and minors.
Our programs are carried out in a close cooperation with reputable Ukrainian and foreign scientific institutions, state authorities, leading business structures and non-governmental analytical centers.
The teaching staff of the Department consists of the well-known Ukrainian scholars who are the authors of textbooks and training manuals that occupy a leading place in the higher economic education of the country. Most of our lecturers were educated and trained in the World leading scientific and educational centers including

- Stanford, Harvard, Michigan, George Washington and other US universities
- Applied Systems Analysis International Institute (Austria)
